All You Have To Tell Me Are Blueberry Pies

Hey, we're probably done with the rhythm tracks for Coloratura. I'll be moving the studio into my room now and making sweet magic all through the weekend. Who knows.

In outside of my room news, we have a James Rabbit show tonight! It is at 1107 Broadway, and we are playing with a band from Los Angeles called Bad Dudes, who play Nintendo music. If I had to guess, I'd say that means "The Advantage". If I had to wish, I'd say that it meant hooking up a nintendo, a gameboy, a super nintendo, a super gameboy, a nintendo 64, a gamecube, whatever the new one is, up to MIDI boxes and triggering both bleepy sounds and recorded memories of what they'd said at certain moments as kids when playing those games: "Oh, shit!", "Awesome", "Brad's cheating!".

An Album We're Doing, Coloratura:

What's happening so far with this is that I've written 16 of the 19 songs. Today and tomorrow Conner and I are going to finish tracking the rhythm stuff. Friday and Saturday Max is going to come and lay that piano down on our bed of crushed velvet. And then stand back, and let me do my magic! Things are sounding good and its going to be a surprising album. There are going to be guests up the wazoo! And you who read this now who will listen to it later, thank you, it's a pleasure to have your eyes! And thank you to everybody who is listening, you are making my heart swell.

I've got to stop doing this, but I've another album planned. So there's the James Rabbit albums that I do and then there's the albums that I do in between them that I put the name "James Rabbit" on. Maybe you know which ones are the real ones. Probably all the ones you've heard. Well the album that we might do after this might be modeled after Conner's fixation on 80's session-musician pop, like Toto and Steely Dan. Max plays the piano really nice and I have a friend named Spencer that plays guitar and bass like some kind of sexual super eagle (sexed all over his smoove new album Logic). Maybe I can trick those two into fulfilling my fantasy. 

And then I have another album coming after it that I may or may not finish before leaving this beautiful house, that one's kind of tough to explain.
