Summer 2011 Tour

We just got back from a tour with Iji Presents: Zachary David Jammin'. Zach drummed for us, and made every night come alive!! The tour went so smoothly, hardly a cloud in the heart's sky.

Shows:

Santa Cruz: Played at Food Not Lawns with Nessie and Her Beard, who were augmented by some well-played classical guitar and group percussion. Fun start!

Fresno: Wallpaper at a birthday party for a super fan who knew more of the lyrics than I did.

Santa Barbara: Played with Couch McGirt at the Newman (is that the name?) co-op, first really ecstatic set of tour.

Los Angeles: Played at a totally insane practice space (hundreds of rooms and every one had a band practicing in them!) with a 90s-ish indie group that covered 'La Bamba'. Had to duck out as the next act was donning a diaper, to try and play a show with Pangea at a gallery downtown. They offered us their slot on a show, which was cancelled due to noise.

San Diego: Park Gallery with an up and coming hardcore act, who had one song that was only spanish profanity and Red Pony Clock who were outstanding and have a new album out.

Tucson: Played with two inventive quieter bands at Scrappy's.

Phoenix: Played with Waytanseapoint, Good Amount and Ryan Avery, who cracked us up big time!

Flagstaff: Tour cross-over with Dogbreth and Hello the Mind Control, who were both great! Fun house, I think it was called the Big House.

Las Vegas: Played at Blackbird Studios, where we met Jesse Smigel, Gina Quaranto, and Brent Holmes. All great artists and wonderful people!

Salt Lake City: Played at the Boing Collective with Desmond Mar and Fuck Yes!!!, who were both fresh and spirited. Ruined thumbs on Super Smash Brothers.

Boise: Got a last minute show at WilliB's sandwich bar, replacing karaoke. Hung out with our friends Dovekins and some fun new friends.

Garden City: Dovekins let us hop on a show at the VAC Collective, they sounded AMAZING!Very lovely venue.

Spokane: Snoozed on the directions, drove several hours in the wrong direction, but made it just in time to play maybe the most magical show on tour at the Dirty Yeti. Very fun, attentive audience.

Bellingham: Played with a funky one-off jam band at a dive bar, which was fun, though I was kind of sick.

Seattle: Major fun! At the Funny Button, with Dovekins, Jordan O. Jordan and a slam poetry duo called Give Give.

Olympia: Played with Generifus and The Fabulous Downey Brothers, who you should see if you ever get a chance, I hear they are moving to Seattle.

Portland: WTF bikes with Shelby Sifers, Like a Villain and The Ocean Floor. All great performers! Very fun space. Went down the street and watched the B-52s Rock Lobster on TV.

Davis: House party at Rocket Robot Residence, hung out with some radio DJs afterwards who blew our minds with Trance music.

Oakland: Played with Upside Drown, Griffon, and Jaberi and Deutsch. Zach's set was off the charts! Killed it.

We were lucky to play with so many amazing bands and have so many amazing shows! Returned to a house that had been deep cleaned and bathtub-clogged. Taking a break before starting on the next wonderful exhausting thing.

We have an album out called Splendor!, which you can get here. We have some physical copies out, so let me know if you want any.
